The papers reveal the diversity of aesthetic motivations for proper names in literary texts which go far beyond the semantics of descriptive names in the classical sense. The functionality of applying names in literary works and its significance for the semantic universe of the text are clearly illustrated. Most contributions additionally address more principal questions on the status of proper names in literary works. German description: Der von Matthias Freise herausgegebene Band zu Eigennamen in der russischen Literatur versammelt deutsch- und russischsprachige Beitrage einer gleichnamigen Tagung 2011 in Gottingen, auf der Russisten, Namenkundler und Sprachphilosophen aus Russland, Bulgarien und Deutschland der Frage nach der Funktion von Eigennamen im literarischen Sinnaufbau nachgegangen sind. Die Beitrage zeigen die Vielfalt asthetischer Motivierungen von Eigennamen in literarischen Texten auf, die weit uber die Semantik im klassischen Sinne sprechender Namen hinausgeht. Dabei werden nicht nur die Funktionen von Namen fur den Sinnaufbau einzelner literarischer Texte oder OEuvres entschlusselt, sondern vielfach werden Grenz- und Grundsatzfragen der Interpretierbarkeit, der Fiktionalitat, der Referenz, des Bedeutungswandels, des Kontextbezuges, der Uberdeterminierung, ja sogar der Abwesenheit von Namen diskutiert. Die Funktionalitat der Namensgebung in literarischen Werken und ihre Bedeutung fur den semantischen Kosmos des Textes werden anschaulich demonstriert. Zudem widmen sich die meisten Beitrage auch grundsatzlichen Fragen zum Status von Eigennamen in literarischen Werken. Hier reicht die Bandbreite von Studien zum metaphysischen Namen-Realismus wie dem "Imjaslavie" Losevs, dem zufolge im Namen Gottes dessen absolute Anwesenheit bzw. die direkte Vermittlung zwischen Gott und Mensch Wirklichkeit wird, bis zum extremen Namen-Nominalismus einer moglichst durchschnittlichen und neutralen Namensgebung in der russischen Postmoderne.
