Great Memoir
J. J. Williamson was one of Mosby's men, joining him in the spring of 1863. This book is well written and documented with the reports of the Confederate and Federal officers involved in the various actions. Mosby's record is incredible. He operated within the Union lines, almost with impunity, relying on skill and audacity to do the unexpected agasint the unprepared. My copy, a Time-Life reissue during the Civil War Centenniel is a reprint of the original with all of the maps and illustrations. Even a casual reader would enjoy the narrative. For the "buff", it is ambrosia.
