This old classic is one of the best. I lost my original copy and was so pleased to be able to replace it. I arrived in perfect condition and I have looked up several references already.

A knitting gem
Mary Thomas's book is a gem. I have never seen a knitting book like it. The background information about knitting history is both comprehensive and fascinating. Great knitting illustrations.I have learned so much and I'm not even finished the book, yet. The chapter on darning and repairing knitting is really worth reading, as are many other chapters.
