P. L. Travers has taken all the charm of her many Mary Poppins book and translated them (complete with characters from the various stories) into a really good cookbook for children and interested adults! It is fun to read, but it is even more fun to work your way through the simpler recipes at the beginning to leg of lamb and a lemon souffle at the end. Perhaps the nicest thing about this book is the world of Mary Poppins suddenly turning into reality. A must have and must read!
