Bengal gram is affected mainly by wilt ( Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. ciceri ), blight ( Mycosphaerella pinodes ) and rust ( Uromyces ciceris-arietini ). The main diseases of pigeon pea are wilt ( Fusarium oxysporum ) and Phytophtora stem blight ( Phytophthora drechsleri f. sp. cajani) .
