Good. This is the 'new' and revised edition of the biography which first appeared in 1860. Octavo, 8 3/4" tall, x + 842 pages + ads; marbled endpapers and fore-edges, decorative leather. A good copy overall, interior very good with internal binding solid, paper clean and lightly yellowed; but exterior worn, hinges are broken and covers are loose, leather back strip over spine missing. The interior of this book is in good condition for rebinding and is priced accordingly.
