Este libro pretende arrojar alguna luz sobre las relaciones entre la MO y las habilidades cognitivas superiores a partir de una doble contribuci???n te???rico-aplicada. En lo te???rico, propone un modelo integrador sobre el funcionamiento de la MO que intenta reinterpretar y articular las principales conceptualizaciones vigentes. En lo aplicado, presenta un nuevo procedimiento de medida que prolonga el paradigma cl???sico de doble-tarea con una segunda medida de recuerdo "contextualizado". El objetivo es lograr un ???ndice de MO "en funcionamiento" de mayor validez "ecol???gica", al ser sensible tanto a los procesos de una MO transitoria como a los de una posible MO a largo plazo.
