While on parole, he started a group that later gave him his first hit when it recorded an R&B-style reworking of a gospel tune, "Please, Please, Please." I attended James Brown's funeral in Augusta Georgia and as a result, had many questions about him as a man and a musician. I found this book through Alibris and it answered all of my questions.
