Country introductions summarise the state of ship preservation in each country, pointing to particular national treasures, and direct the maritime enthusiast to areas where there are concentrations of historic craft. Bought the book to get information on a certain ship (which was listed in the book) that was built in 1879. Unfortunately, the book did not tell me anything new that I researched in the internet. The book is a good reference that lists some notable ship and also shipwrecks. It was worth the money I paid for it. Material is a little outdated (1985) but still a good reference book. Most ships has a small column of information such as weight, owners, year built, structure, etc. Nothing on ship registration. Some ships have history on them.
