I was expecting this book to be similar to his Beck Easton adventures, but it was completely different. A young man and his father move to a new town to start a rock climbing business and escape the pain of Patrick's mother's apparent suicide. I say apparent, because as he investigates, he finds a potential alternate scenario. I have heard of that medical condition, but I think it was wishful thinking. He also experiences his first love, but ends up losing her and regretting it the rest of his life. I also find it funny that he drove around the same car I was stuck in during that time, an orange Chevy Chevette. I wish the story would've had a happy ending, though.
