After his book, No Legal Grounds, I expected another hit from Bell. It starts off well enough as a thriller. It has a great premise, a lot of action and legal twists, but then it suddenly ends about a chapter or two short. Although they get the guy who actually killed his fiancee, they don't bring down the corrupt guy behind it or close down the operation he uses as a front. There was also no closure, spiritually. All through the book, he seems to be searching for meaning, and there is a key in Jacquelines journals of her own search, which he never even seems to finish reading. Then he just moves on. It also surprised me to find so much Catholicism in it, with a nun and a priest as main characters. Not what I'd expect to find in a Christian bookstore. No wonder he never found the truth if that's as far as he got. Is there a sequel out there that finishes it?
