This book is a simple synposis of many of Erickson's psychotherapy techniques utilizing hypnosis and with the tapes as a supplement it provides examples of Erickson utilizing these techniques. As a person who has studied Erickson's collected works over decades, I found this book a delight to read as well as both useful and informative. It is a simple beginning place for someone beginning or a wonderful adjunct to someone already somewhat familiar with the larger body of work. On the audio cassette it also provides an interesting example of Rossi's work during this period.
