Collectable, very good. Almost like new book in VG jacket. Orange hardcover published by Peter Owen in 1964, later printing, white jacket not price clipped (35s). Cover has no wear, edges of cover very faintly tanned, gift inscription (not by auhtor) in large gold handwriting on the front free endpaper. Some discoloration to the front paste-down near the gutter. Some minor edgewear to the jacket. The only novel by surrealist painter Giorgio de Chirico, originally published in 1929.
