Translated from the French and with an introduction by Margaret Crosland. The copyright page and dust jacket states that this is a first U.S. edition and publication of this work, however there appears to have been a limited edition done in New York by The Four Season in 1966. Some discoloration to the front paste-down near the gutter. Some minor edgewear to the jacket. The only novel by surrealist painter Giorgio de Chirico, originally published in 1929.
