None. Near Fine. An early copy of Etchers and Etching Chapters in the History of the Art together with Technical Explanations of Modern Artistic Methods by Joseph Pennell. English edition. Highly illustrated with numerous examples of etching throughout from artists such as Rembrandt, Whistler, Turner, Van Dyck and Pennell himself. Joseph Pennell (1857-1926) was an American artist and author. He produced numerous books, but his chief distinction is as an original etcher and lithographer, and notably as an illustrator. He taught at Slade School of Art. He won a gold medal at the Exposition Universelle (1900), and 1904 Louisiana Purchase Exposition. In a cloth binding. Externally, in excellent condition with only minor bumping and wear to extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Bright and generally clean throughout but with slight offsetting from some illustrations to opposite pages and the very odd spot and handling mark to text block edges. Near Fine.
