Seller's Description:
First edition. Signed by Jim Tully on the front free endpaper, inscribed to the former owner in the year of publication in Hollywood, CA, December 12, 1922. Her name written on paste down. [iv], 315 pp. Bound in publisher's green cloth lettered in yellow. A Very Good+ copy with strong lettering, typical faint mottling or insecting to cloth, foxing to edges, gift inscription on page facing title page, small inkless emboss to ffep, laid in articles about Tully with associated offsetting to title page. No dust jacket. The hobo-turned-author's first book, a novel with a slightly stripped-down, autobiographical style prefiguring his later work. Tully was so inexperienced with writing he initially had written it without any paragraph breaks, simply not knowing any better.
