I was fortunate enough to win this book as a door prize during a writing institute. When I picked it up, I first thought "Is this going to be another one of those laborous books where I spend more time looking up vocabulary rather than reading?" I could not have been further from the truth. This book is amazing and very easy to read. It is written with great style. It provides wonderful strategies that can be applied in the high school classroom to help infuse the student writer into writing with depth and voice. This book provides excellent examples as well as applications that you can use in the classroom. I suggest that all teachers of writing read this book. It will be one of the most resourceful texts you have ever encountered.
