I am a retired College English Teacher and College president living in a retirement community. I was asked by a diverse group of friends at breakfast ( Ph.Ds in Geology, Botany, English, and a couple of non-academics) to read some literature with them.
I ordered 5 copies of this work for this purpose. In addition, I used the Boyer, Laughton, Morehead, & Hardwick recording. If one enjoys Shaw and ideas, the "Don Juan" dream sequence is hard to beat. And the $2 price is fantastic. On the other hand, if one prefers escape literature, this is probably the wrong cup of tea.
