This third book in the trilogy Barbara Hambly calls "The Antryg Windrose Chronicles" is nearly as good as the prior two novels. The action steps up from everything that came before as the world of magic suddenly goes wacky. Naturally, Antryg is blamed and is coerced back to Ferryth to fix the problem. The thing is; Joanna's been kidnapped by a wizard and no one will admit to knowing where she is. It's a suspenseful story, full of many twists and turns. By the time you know who did it, you've pretty much suspected everyone. My only gripe with the book is that Antryg and Joanna spend very little time together throughout the course of the story. But their love for each other is still there on every page as Antryg deperately tries to find out where she is before Ferryth collapses into the Void, and Joanna realizes how much she's come to depend on her mad wizard.
