Die vorliegende Arbeit analysiert den Einfluss der faschistischen Erziehung auf die Schulklasse, deren Lehrer der Ich-Erz???hler ist. Dabei soll zudem der Zusammenhang des im Roman dargestellten Faschismus und dem Nationalsozialismus untersucht werden. Inwieweit Horv???th eine bestimmte oder beliebige Auspr???gung des Faschismus darstellt und kritisiert, ist n???mlich umstritten. Der biografische Kontext des Autors, der Entstehungsort und einige recht eindeutige Anspielungen im Roman, lassen einen m???glichen Bezug zum Nationalsozialismus erkennen, w???hrend andere Aspekte gegen diese Deutung sprechen. Zur Untersuchung der Fragestellung sollen zun???chst typische Merkmale der nationalsozialistischen Erziehung dargestellt werden. Dann wird die Schulklasse unter Beachtung der Besonderheiten einiger ihrer Mitglieder als Gruppe charakterisiert und zuletzt wird ???berpr???ft, inwiefern sich die nationalsozialistische Erziehung in den Eigenschaften der Sch???ler wiederfindet. Neben der Entwicklung des Ich-Erz???hlers auf "seine[m] Weg zu Gott" ist die moralische Verfassung der Jugend zentrales Thema des Romans. Dabei wird die Frage aufgeworfen, wodurch die Jugendlichen in ihrem Denken und Handeln beeinflusst werden.
