I found the first few chapters of this book to be compelling reading, maybe because Jones' early upland and waterfowl hunting experience parallels my own. Then the middle chapters seemed written by a different person. The final chapters were, I thought, excellent and written as were the first. I thought it to be a good book, but I passed it on to a friend rather than add it to my library.
