Although I rate this book with only 3 stars I still found it very enjoyable. It is a light, easy read. A friend recommended it to me after I spoke of an interest of visiting Portugal. The author gives a good account of his attempt of reaching a childhood dream of building a boat made of wine corks. I was impressed by his tenacity. He encountered many hurdles and overcame them. It was amazing how he found people to help him around or over these hurdles after hearing about the uniqueness of the cork boat, I found the parts of the actual sailing of the boat in Portugal the most entertaining-especially in the locks. I only give it a 3 simply because I would have liked pictures (of the boat, people, etc)! I had advanced reader's copy so maybe it didn't have pics. I don't know if the other copies do are not but there is a picture of the front of some of the copies.
