Teachers getting started
The book is designed to help a new teacher in the classroom, it is worth the cost, and I am sure even as a seasoned teacher, I will refer back to it.

A Redundant Summary
While I can't say that this book was particularly bad, I certainly didn't get much out of it.
"Classroom Management for Middle and High School Teachers" was required for a class I took in preparation for a secondary education teaching certificate. I read through it in a week, mostly because I was familiar with all of the material presented in it. I was bored through the entire read.
If you, as a reader, must read it for a class, you have my sympathies. Likely, you've already covered all of the topics in previous teacher education courses. If you've taken notes at all or kept any previous textbooks, you'll find striking similarities between those other writings and this book, which seems little more than a summary of good teaching practices and other points of which to be aware before beginning an education career.
If you're a seasoned teacher, don't bother with this book. You'll find it utterly useless. If you're a little rusty on your teaching skills or have been away from the field for a long time, it might prove useful as a refresher course.
