This was the first L P Holmes western I can ever remember reading, some 40+ years ago, and the one that made me want to read more his novels. His style is so fluid and easy it seems as though the pages of the book turn themselves, and you are right there in the action with the characters. This book deals with a range war, with one man King Morgan wanting to control the entire grasslands of the Fandango Basin. Clay Hanford had purchased the deed to Old Man Pinderlee's ranch plenty cheap enough, and he knew what that meant......This is a great western, well worth owning and reading time and time again.
