Parmi les 62 patients collig???s 60% ???taient des diab???tiques de type 1. Notre population ???tait jeune (???ge moyen: 36???16 ans) et plut???t de sexe f???minin (genre-ratio: 0,55). La pr???sentation clinique ???tait grave d'embl???e: les valeurs moyennes de la glyc???mie et du pH ???taient 30???12 mmol/l et 7,12???0,14 avec une CAD s???v???re dans 84% des cas. L'infection (50%) ???tait le principal facteur d???clenchant. La prise en charge reposait sur l'hydratation, l'insuline en IV, la suppl???mentation potassique et le traitement du facteur d???clenchant. Le d???lai moyen de r???solution de la CAD ???tait de 20???8 heures. La dur???e m???diane de s???jour en r???animation ???tait cinq jours (3-7) avec une mortalit??? de 13%. L'APACHE II>18 et la ventilation invasive ???taient les deux facteurs ind???pendants pr???dictifs de mortalit???. Une meilleure ???ducation et un bon suivi de ces patients pourraient am???liorer le pronostic de cette complication.
