Seller's Description:
Fair. First Delta (paperback) printing, 1976. Spine creased, some wear at edges, a few early pages coming loose at head. From a collection of Buckminster Fuller materials, a copy of "Buckminster Fuller At Home in the Universe" by Alden Hatch with the following inscription written vertically across the inside edge of the front wrap: "121/30/79 Went to "Scrooge" at the Guthrie & had a champagne breakfast". Though his writing style varies, this appears to be in Fuller's hand. Fuller's public schedule was astounding. He was regularly in Minneapolis for the Alpha Rho Chi Architectural Fraternity Conventions and other events such as a Uri Geller event in October of 1979. Fuller shared the distinction of "Master Architect" in the fraternity with Rip Rapson, who brought Fuller and many other famous architects to the University of Minnesota. We speculate that he may have attended the Guthrie's "Scrooge" performance with Rapson. We cannot of course guarantee this association, but invite your further exploration.
