Als Ausgangspunkt werden die Grundlagen der ???konomischen Entscheidungstheorie unter Unsicherheit rekapituliert und ein ???berblick geboten ???ber deren Vertiefungen, die geeignet sind unser risikobeeinflusstes Verhalten zu erkl???ren. Die wahrscheinlichen Wirkungsweisen einer Vielzahl sozio-???konomischer Faktoren werden auf der Grundlage einer umfangreichen Literaturbetrachtung ???konomischer aber auch psychologischer und neurobiologischer Studien - erg???nzt um origin???re ???berlegungen zu den kausalen Ursache-Wirkungs-Zusammenh???ngen - thematisiert. Diese Analyse erlaubt das Ableiten von expliziten Hypothesen, welche empirisch mit deskriptiven und induktiven statistischen Methoden getestet wurden auf der Datenbasis von ca. 22.000 befragten Personen des Sozio-Oekonomischen Panels SOEP, gef???hrt beim Deutschen Institut f???r Wirtschaftsforschung (DIW) Berlin. Insbesondere nutzt der Autor eine innovative Methodik zur Analyse des potentiellen Einflusses der Nationalit???t auf die Risikobereitschaft, indem Emigranten nach Deutschland gezielt betrachtet werden. Alle theoretisch abgeleiteten Hypothesen konnten durch die statistische Auswertung best???tigt werden.
