Tibetan astrology is, with medicine, an art and a science that doctors, monks, and Tibetans have utilized for centuries. In a Buddhist context, astro medicine gives us the knowledge necessary to be able to help and offer good Dharma (literally means 'preventive measures'). On another level, it gives us guidelines so that we can be more auspicious in business, love, and our actions. Like medicine, astrology has roots in China, Mongolia, India, and in the ancient Shamanic religion, Bon, native to Tibet, making it highly nuanced, allows us to evenly calculate the dates that will enlighten us throughout our lives. They also inform us about our past karma, projected into the present, and how our present will generate our karma in next life.
