Wow! Was I excited to get this book as a free download from amazon! And when I realized that A Hope Undaunted was the beginning of a new trilogy by Julie Lessman that continues with three wonderful stories of members of the O'Connor family, I did mental cartwheels and sat down to read. This book provided me with many hours of reading pleasure as the youngest O'Connor daughter, Katie, is spotlighted. I so loved this book.

Katie O'Connor is a stubborn, spit-fire whose beau, Jack Worthington, is "wrapped around her finger", and meets all the criteria on her list: wealthy, handsome, and well-connected. Her plans to marry Jack, enter law school, and fight for women's rights, are interrupted when she is unexpectedly forced to spend the summer away from Jack, and work with childhood friend Luke, aka "Cluny", McGee, with whom she had a love/hate relationship. The bane of her childhood existence Luke McGee, shows up in Katie's world again just in time to destroy all her well laid plans. Can the childhood dislike keep them apart or will they put aside the old judgments and find God's perfect will? This is good for your teen or your mother. Please read!
Fun and Sassy! This book was wonderful and I would recommend it to Everyone. Mrs. Lessman does a great job with the continuation of the O'Connor Saga.

Phenomenal!
Luke McGee and Katie O'Connor's story was phenomenal! There's no other word for this book, or in fact for any of Julie Lessman's books. Each and every one is phenomenal. The love story, the salvation story, and most importantly the sacrifices made in the name of friendship and love are beautiful. Not to mention heartbreaking. I adore this book, and you will too. It is a must-read that will keep you on the edge of your seat until you read the very last page.

Amazing!!
Julie Lessman has done it again! A Hope Undaunted was an amazing novel! I absolutely loved Katie and Luke's story. Every one of Julie Lessman's books is a blessing to read. This book gave the lesson of sacrifice. Luke and Katie fall in love, but circumstances out of their control tear them apart. I laughed, cried and sat on the edge of my seat waiting to find out if Katie gets her happily ever after. This is most definitely another must-read!
