Nice endpaper maps, but faintly printed as an intended nuance, of an historical map of Oregon. Signed & dated by Schafer soon after publication. The author, King, attended Cornell University's School of Hotel & Restaurant Admin., and became eventually chef of several fine Oregon restaurants. He is currently VP of Culinary Development of the large McCormick & Schmick group of restaurants. His text & the great photos of Schafer, one of the Pacific Northwest's finest color photographers, make for an utterly delicious book. Oh, yes, the recipes are here with the pictures!
