Fair. Original green diced cloth with blind floral decoration, lettered in gilt. The Canadian view of the war between the U.S.A. and Great Britain which lasted from 1812 to 1815. Pencil signature inscription & library no. on end paper. State of South Dakota Dept. of History embossed stamped seal, withdrawn S.D. State Hist. Soc. stamped, inked library no. on title page. The cover is edgeworn with dents, faded, with a library no. of white ink under sealant. Slight tears next to the strings in the binding, and on some page edges. Pages xi & xiii are present, but separated from spine. Page 17 has long tear along p. edge. Some spotting, stains, tiny dogears, smudges, water stains throughout the book, but all the text is there. Page 117, 149-156 have the bottom 1/4" cut from the p. with no loss of text. Inked library no. p. 33. Pencil correction or marks on p. 29 & errata p. Photo is of the actual book.
