Seller's Description:
Very Good in Very Good dust jacket. Hardcover. 4to. Naval Institute Press, Annapolis, MD. 1996. 254 pgs. Illustrated throughout. First Edition/First Printing. Putnam Aviation Series DJ has light shelf-wear present to the DJ extremities. Bound in cloth boards with titles present to the spine and front board. Boards have light shelf-wear present to the extremities. No ownership marks present. Text is clean and free of marks. Binding tight and solid. The history of the design bureau through early days of favour through imprisonment and then reinstatement is well detailed. Then follows a detailed history of the design development and manufacture of each aircraft but little or no operational use and hard to find production numbers. Like the others in the series the level of detail is such that it overwhelms the narrative. So recommended because its an important historical account of an influential design house who made some very significant cold war as well as war time aircraft. EB; Putnam Aeronautical Books; 4to 11"-13" tall; 254 pages.
