The first part of the book tells of the voyage to Colchis, how they won the Golden Fleece, and of the journey back to Iolcus. The second part tells of the heroes and of their exploits. It tells of Theseus, Heracles, Peleus, Admetus, Atalanta, and others. The book is written in high prose, and is an excellent introduction to the Greek heroes.
