VERY GOOD in Good jacket. 592 pp. Green cloth, gilt spine lettering. 16 unpaginated color plates to rear, numerous b/w photographs and diagrams throughout. 4to. Some rubbing to extremities, sharp and clean otherwise. DJ toned, some tears and chips with tape repairs, some shelf wear. Almost all rear color plates represent "paintings commissioned by the publisher, with instructions in each case to paint in circa 1930 style. All are oil on canvas, and an attempt was made to depict the variety of power for which the New Haven was famous.".
