Very Good. 2005 first edition WoodenBoat Books (Brooklin, Maine) 11 1/4 x 8 3/4 inches tall hardbound, laminated pictorial boards, no dust jacket (as issued), copiously illustrated, 87 pp. Minor bumping to upper tips. Otherwise, a very good copy-clean, bright and unmarked. Note that this is a heavy and oversized book, so additional postage will be required for international or priority orders. ~SP12~ Author and boat designer Glifford Jackson grew up with boats in his native New Zealand and developed an early interest in the design. In 1939 he set off by sea at the age of 17, to study naval architecture at Glasgow University in Scotland. Includes the full set of plans, and building commentary from the designer, for The Marisol, a rugged 12-foot, 6-inch daysailer, a v-bottomed dagger-boarder built in glue-lap-ply construction with sawn frames.
