Born in 1873, she was the illegitimate daughter of a wealthy Mexican landowner and an Indian woman. The beautiful spiritual Teresita played a dramatic role in the Mexican revolution. William Curry Holden (1896-1993) was a historian, archeologist, and director of the Museum of Texas Tech University. José B. Cisneros (1910-2009) was a Mexican-born American artist. He is known for his historical illustrations and drawings of early Texas, specifically of horsemen including charro, vaquero, Texas rangers, and Texas cowboys. He illustrated over 300 books.
