Black & white photographs by Igor Grossmann, a Slovakian photographer who began capturing wonderful images of the people of his homeland and their surroundings in the 1950's--most images are from the 1950's and 1960's. All photos are captioned, and the text is both Slovakian and English as is the forward and afterward which is by Grossman. There is a previous owner's name on the front end paper dated 2000 and also at the bottom of p. 46. Original publisher's white pictorial covers with black spine and cover lettering. There is a closed snag to the dust jacket at the rear fold-over and to and the rear cover in the same spot, else this is a clean, tight and unmarked book. The dust jacket in similarly nice condition with no chips, tears, or markings.; B&W Photographs; 4to 11"-13" tall; 149 pages.
