Continuity problems
The books are fairly well-written. At their best, there is a bit of a Stephen King feel to them. However, I found some problems with a sort of sloppiness, maybe with the editor at times, but also with the author. For example, in this book, there were some abrupt shifts in time and place (the ediitor seems to have not provided spacing to show this was a new scene). More importantly, there are continuity mistakes, such as the main female character being referred to by 2 different last names. One of the names is Cavanaugh, which is receyled in the heroine of the next book with the addition of an "n". The next book also has some switches in time, that were not done for a literary reason, but just seemed like laziness or sloppiness on the part of the author. She has written a ton of books, but this makes it seem like she churns them out without good attention to detail. The plots also seem a little recycled from book to book. On the other hand, for light reading they are ok. I'd recommend them for those who like the combination of a romantic paranormal mystery.
