The complexity of the characters coupled by the exotic and historically significant settings add up to create yet another stellar Lecter novel. Of the four Thomas Harris works I have read so far, this is by the far the most exemplary. Definitely a compelling read and an appropriate final to the Hannibal Lecter trilogy.
