still very useful
This is still one of the best Hellenistic Greek lexicons in English. It is affordable, somewhat (but not overly) concise, and yet very full of useful information for New Testament study. I recommend it beside Liddel/Scott/Mc/Jones and BDAG(3). The N.T. citations are nearly full and are well-organized, the O.T. references (LXX) are useful, and the user gains a good grasp of the meaning and use of the word by Biblical writers. It was recommended by my N.T. Greek prof at SBTS, and I've bought copies for a pastor friend (he loves it) and my son-in-law, and recommended it to others. It is trustworthy (to the best of my knowledge) and handy. I prefer an older hardback to a newer paperback (the print is easier on the eyes).
