This monograph was prepared to accompany the major retrospective of Garry Winogrand (1928-1984) mounted at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art from March 9 to June 2, 2013. The exhibition then traveled to the National Gallery of Art in Washington, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Jeu de Paume in Paris and finally the Fundacion MAPFRE in Madrid in 2015.
