Yvonne Schuchart is a Chiropractic Assistant who once taught horseback riding lessons. She has written for publication in various periodicals and anthologies, including a piece on the loss of her three-year-old son, Jonathan, that won the Sparrowgrass Poetry Forum's Award of Poetic Excellence. After raising and homeschooling all four of her other children, Yvonne decided to go to college at the mellow age of forty-nine. She earned an A.A. in Social Science while serving as a full-time Youth Care Worker at a residential facility for troubled teens. Born in Havre de Grace, Maryland, Yvonne was raised with a fundamentalist Christian background in the Free Will Baptist denomination. Her father, who told her many stories of his childhood, was born and raised in North Carolina. The author draws her unique perspective on life and spiritualism from this personal history. Yvonne now lives in the borough of Spring Grove, Pennsylvania, a community built around the paper mill established there in the 1800s. When she isn't working or writing, her 'other' life includes riding a 2011 black and chrome Harley Super Glide on the weekends, beside-not behind-her much adored husband. See less
