YVES DELOYE is Professor of Politics at the University Paris I Sorbonne, member of the Institut Universitaire de France, and General Secretary of the Association Francaise de Science Politique. Pour une Autre Histoire du Suffrage Electoral: le ClergE Catholique Francais et le Vote" (XIXe-XXe siecles) (2006), and a number of articles in major social sciences journals. MICHAEL BRUTER is Lecturer in European Politics and Political Science at the London School of Economics and Political Science, UK. He specialises in the study of comparative European electoral behaviour, political participation, public opinion and European identity, as well as extreme right politics and political science research methods. His publications include "Citizens of Europe? The Emergence of a Mass European Identity" (2005), and a number of articles in major political science journals. See less
