Yana Ungermann-Marshall

Author Yana Ungermann-Marshall grew up on Pizzo Ranch Road at the top of Gould Canyon. Years later, when she returned to La Cañada, she repurchased her childhood home with her husband, Michael. She created the Manchester Boddy Library at Descanso Gardens and teaches at Glendale Community College. The vintage photographs she showcases here have been gathered from such sources as the Glendale Public Library, Lanterman House in La Cañada Flintridge, Descanso Gardens, and other local archives.
