Xavier Zubiri

XAVIER ZUBIRI (1898-1983), who was a student of Jose Ortega y Gasset, Edmund Husserl, and Martin Heidegger, is widely considered to be the last major Spanish philosopher of the twentieth century. As a secularized priest, he lived out of favor under the Spanish fascist regime and made his living offering courses to the public.
