William M.T. Forrester Jr., son of the late Dr. William M.T. Forrester and Louise Marie Forrester, unveils his compelling book. Black World Series delves into the poignant narrative of Black life, struggles, and triumphs within the realm of baseball.His father established MJBL for him and other Black youth when white Little Leagues denied them the opportunity to play in Richmond, Virginia, during segregation. He uses this book to acknowledge his appreciation to everyone who volunteered with MJBL to provide youth enjoyment and build self-esteem through athletic competition.With a Bachelor of Science from Virginia State University and a master's degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, Forrester dedicated 40 years to the Department of Defense before retiring in 2022. Married to Crystal, he cherishes family, including two sons, William III (M.T.), Kian, sisters and close friends. See less
