W. Lawrence Neuman is Professor of Sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. He received his Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1982. W. Lawrence Neuman is Professor of Sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. He received his Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1982. He is the author of several well-received research methodology textbooks and published in leading academic journals (American Sociological Review, Social Problems, Sociological Quarterly, Sociological Inquiry, Social Science Quarterly) on a range of political sociological issues. He is a University of Wisconsin-System Teaching Fellow, won his university's Outstanding Researcher Award, and is listed in Who's Who in America. He has received numerous grants to carry out curriculum innovations and instructional projects. He was a Fulbright Scholar to Japan, and also serves as director of Pacific Asian Educational Research Center at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. See less
