William J Goode
William J. Goode (1917-2003) was professor emeritus of sociology at Stanford University and former president of the American Sociological Association. He also taught at Harvard, Columbia, and Wayne State University. He was best known for his analysis of marriage and divorce and the consequences of divorce for women. Some of his many books include "World Revolution and Family Patterns", "The Celebration of Heroes", and "World Changes in Divorce Patterns".
