William C Bullitt

William C. Bullitt served as the United States' first Ambassador to the Soviet Union from 1933-1936, and as Ambassador to France from 1936-1940. During the Second World War, Bullitt served as a "roving ambassador" for President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
