IN 2022 he was the recipient of The Dayton Literary Peace Prize's Richard C. Holbrooke Distinguished Achievement Award, whose other recipients include Gloria Steinem, Louise Erdrich, Barbara Kingsolver, and Colm T�ib�n. Haygood also wrote the New York Times bestseller, The Butler: A Witness to History , which was adapted into an award-winning movie.
